The Birth Of Pleasure

A dance for two who examine perceptions of gender, sexuality, pleasure and freedom under social taboos in their lives as a woman and as a gay man. Through pop songs, gummy candies and lip sync they search for a sense of inner pleasure and their authentic voice. The piece was created as part of a residency at the Kelim Centre. Premiered at 'Assif' festival in Kilem Centere in Bat Yam, Artistic managment Ayala Frankel. The piece was hosted at the Lake Studio Festival (Berlin) and as part of the 'Just August' festival (Home Theater, TLV) as well as at the Pride festival at the DIDA (Herzliya, ISR) Duration: 45 min Choreography and performance: Nadav Nadi Yoel and Gali Kinkulkin.
